Thank you for your interest in Machiavellis Cat!
Excellent players in all classes are welcome to apply, and we are also always open to nice, friendly members who are looking for a home in Northrend and beyond. Machiavellis Cat was founded in 2005 by a slightly confused level 35 priest and her wisecracking warrior friend. The guild has grown to over 200 characters. In WoW Classic we raided Onyxia, Zul'Gurub, AQ-20, Molten Core, and were working on Vael in Blackwing Lair. In TBC, we completed all T4 and T5 instances, finished Mount Hyjal, and got Illidan to 32% before Patch 3.0. (We killed him and Kalecgos after 3.0.) The Cats are a casual, family guild that also likes to raid and kick butt.
In Ulduar we have Rusted Protodrakes from Glory of the Ulduar Raider, and completed Three Lights in the Darkness on 25s. We routinely clear regular ToC-25 in 30 minutes, and are at 3/5 in TotGC-25. We are currently 7/12HM in ICC-25, 10/12HM ICC-10. We raid Tuesday, Thursday, and Monday from 6-9pm PST.
Our initiate process lasts a minimum of two weeks. During this time everyone can get to know each other, and afterward guild members will discuss granting membership. Although we always strive to be as fair as possible to everyone involved, guild members have priority on items and raid slots, and can have alt characters in the guild.
Large raid drops are administered by Shroud Loot System bids. Points are awarded for being on time, staying the length of the raid, and time spent raiding. On alt-friendly runs we simply roll on items. Raid roster slots are reserved through an online signup sheet, and rearranged with an eye to class balance and experience.
Most of the Cats are older folks with jobs and families. We believe in working together, having fun, and accomplishing raid progression at our own pace. We ask raid attendees to have oRA2 or 3, BigWigs/DBM, and Omen installed and to be able to listen on Ventrillo.
It does help if you're mature, literate, and just a bit of a smart aleck.
